With the Major League Baseball trade deadline one week away, the Cincinnati Reds are one of the NL's most obvious sellers.

Franchise cornerstone Elly De La Cruz is most likely off limits, but it would make a ton of sense for the Reds to consider offers for impending free agents.

After signing a one-year deal to return to the Reds during the offseason, third baseman/designated hitter Eugenio Suarez falls into that category.

Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller wrote Monday that Suarez is a "buy-low" trade candidate. But considering how slim the market is for power bats, the Reds could get a relatively solid return.

"Geno is still whiffing a ton, but he has six home runs in his last 47 trips to the plate, including an upper decker off Matthew Boyd in Cincinnati's final game of the first half and a 435-foot blast against the Cardinals on Friday night," Miller wrote.

Three suitable trade possibilities for Suarez

Three teams make sense for the two-time All-Star with 339 career home runs: Seattle Mariners, Miami Marlins, and Milwaukee Brewers.

But the Marlins are fading out of the Wild Card race at the worst possible time, losing a franchise record 12 games in a row.

"It's also noteworthy that he can play third base. He hasn't exactly been good at the hot corner over the past two seasons, but the fact that he isn't exclusively a DH would appeal to teams like Seattle, Miami and Milwaukee, who have gotten precious little offense from third this season," Miller added.

The Mariners traded for Suarez at last year's deadline, and adding him back to their roster for the postseason doesn't make sense.

Meanwhile, the Brewers could hope that his recent power surge stays consistent, and Suarez's .682 OPS with 14 homers would be an upgrade over David Hamilton.
