"It was a clear act of self-defense, plus he was on the football team, his dad was a cop, and he was white. There was absolutely zero chance of him getting in any trouble if he just told the cops exactly what happened. Instead, he and his dad, who, again, is a cop in their small town, decide to dispose of the body, burn the car, and cover it up. It was such a dumb plotline."
"Yeah, that was so frustrating. As soon as his dad found out, they would have gone straight to the police station to get self-defense statements from Landry and Tyra. Like, I can at least buy that the kids freaked out and did the wrong thing, but the dad should know better."
