Aaron Boone's Jazz Chisholm Jr. injury update is concerning news for Yankees

The New York Yankees are in the middle of a rough five-game losing streak after last night's loss to the Detroit Tigers.

Manager Aaron Boone's club is already without Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, two major parts of the lineup.

Trent Grisham and Ryan McMahon will likely come off the IL for Friday's opener against the Minnesota Twins.

The Yankees cannot afford too many more injuries. That's why Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s collision with Jasson Dominguez last night had everyone holding their breath.

Chisholm exited the game, and Boone has already determined his status for Tuesday's contest.

"Aaron Boone tells us Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not in tonight's lineup after colliding with Jasson Dominguez last night," Talkin' Yanks wrote on X.

"Boone hopes to have Jazz available off the bench but is still waiting for an update on him."

Chisholm, who was ejected on Sunday against the Boston Red Sox, will not start Tuesday's game, per Boone.

In 81 games this season, Chisholm is hitting .222/.305/.398 with 12 home runs and a .703 OPS. The two-time All-Star has stolen 24 bases in 28 attempts.
