Kawhi Leonard's trade to the Toronto Raptors has not been finalized yet because the controversy with the Los Angeles Clippers and Aspiration has not been cleared up just yet. It has led the league office, led by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, to step in and make a statement.
On Tuesday night, Silver finally addressed what is happening with the Leonard situation and the league's plans to resolve it. He admits that it is taking a lot of time, but he wants to finally get past what is happening with the trade.
Adam Silver is ready to wrap up the Kawhi Leonard situation
The trade was reported a few weeks ago, so both parties would want it to be resolved by now. However, the Aspiration controversy continues to loom over both Kawhi and the Clippers.
It won't go away, especially with some new revelations coming out lately about potential promotional campaigns that Aspiration was trying to conduct with Leonard as the focal point.

At NBA Summer League, Silver has finally addressed what is happening between the Clippers, Raptors, and Leonard. He believes that it will get resolved this summer, but the investigation is still ongoing.
"I'm hopeful that it will wrap up this summer. The league did not pause the trade. The parties to the trade made a decision not to go forward, given that the investigation remained open. The investigation needs to run its course," Silver said in his press conference with the Board of Governors.
Silver also detailed that both the Raptors and the Clippers were well aware that this situation was not cleared up when they made the trade. This should not come as a surprise to them, so they should not be shocked that the trade has not pushed through.
It will continue to be an interesting situation because this can expose a big part of the NBA that the fans are not aware of. If this does get addressed, rest assured that Kawhi and the Clippers will play a massive role in it.
