AEW Dynamite Match Card, Start Time For July 1, 2026

Following a packed Forbidden Door pay-per-view, AEW Dynamite returns on Wednesday, July 1, from Viejas Arena in San Diego to deal with the fallout. There will be no shortage of high-stakes matches as AEW looks to carry momentum into the summer.

A Survival of the Fittest match for the vacant AEW TBS Championship will see Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata, Persephone, Maika and Harley Cameron battle for the title. Willow Nightingale relinquished the championship in May due to a shoulder injury that also forced her out of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, leading AEW to create this match to crown a new champion.

Survival of the Fittest is a six-way elimination match in which the last wrestler standing leaves as champion.

Meanwhile, the trend of world title defenses on television continues with MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Mark Briscoe. After Briscoe's team won the Steel Cage match at Forbidden Door, he wasted no time challenging Long Island's own for the championship on the ensuing episode of Dynamite.

AEW found tremendous success with television world title defenses during Darby Allin's reign, including when he defeated MJF for the title on Dynamite in April. Those matches add importance to the weekly television shows and, while title changes cannot always be expected, they raise the stakes for a given night, especially on the road to All In.

Beyond those matches, Dynamite will also feature the fallout from the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals, where Mercedes Mone defeated Maya World and Will Ospreay defeated Swerve Strickland to earn world title matches at All In. What will each have to say following their major victories?

Additionally, Jay White returned to AEW programming at Forbidden Door after being sidelined for more than a year due to injury. After assisting Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, what will Switchblade have to say upon his return?

Those matches have already been announced for Wednesday's show, with additional bouts and segments expected to be added before Dynamite goes on the air.
