“[HR] were like, ‘Well, it might make people feel bad that they looked bad before.’ I was fat before…I want you to say, ‘Damn,’” said Kelly, who has talked openly about using prescription medication for weight loss.
Kelly initially said that she lost weight by following her doctor’s advice and making some lifestyle changes. “I dropped weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor — a couple years I didn’t. And 90 percent of the time, I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway,” she told People last January.

Months later, Kelly clarified that her doctor had prescribed her with medication that helped aid her weight loss — though she didn’t specify the name of the drug. Noting that the medication “aids in helping break down the sugar” in her blood, Kelly — who had previously received a “pre-diabetic” diagnosis — said that she ended up having to use the drug because her “bloodwork got so bad.”

“My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems.’ Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic, but it’s not. It’s something else,” she said.
Fast forward to today, and Kelly candidly discussed her weight loss during a performance at Hard Rock Live over the weekend.

During the show, an audience member praised Kelly’s appearance, calling her “sexy,” per People. In response, the singer was pretty thrilled, revealing that she loves getting compliments on her looks.

Kelly purportedly went on to admit that she’s previously gotten into trouble for complimenting other people’s appearances on the set of her self-titled talk show. She explained, “They also say you're not allowed to say someone looks attractive, and I say fuck that! Because some of those bitches are out here working, and we're trying, and I want every motherfucker that passes me to go, ‘Damn. Well done.’”

Going on to reveal she once nearly got into “a fight” with HR over the subject, Kelly recalled: “They were like, ‘Well, it might make people feel bad that they looked bad before.’ I was fat before, so I'm saying I want you to say, ‘Damn.’”

Kelly later added that there's “nothing wrong” with anyone's appearance, stating that she “felt very confident” before losing weight. She said, “I felt fine both ways, but I'm just saying it's a lot more fun with clothes now. And I've been working on it.”

The singer eventually thanked the audience member who complimented her looks, joking that she would “not be calling HR” about the exchange. “It is not a joke. I know HR is not a joke, but it is really funny some of the things they talk about,” she said.
