The likely number one overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft is AJ Dybantsa. It looks like the Washington Wizards are keen on Dybansta joining them, which is a huge reward for multiple seasons of struggles.

He seems to be the right kind of player with his immense talent and potential, alongside his hunger for competition. This includes him being eager to play against some of the NBA's biggest stars, even LeBron James, whom he admits he will get a bit starstruck by.

AJ Dybantsa is eager to play against LeBron James

Even if LeBron James' future is unclear with the Los Angeles Lakers or any other team, it seems that his status as an icon lives on among the younger players. They have grown up watching LeBron play at the highest level, and now that they are in the league, he is still there playing well.

As a tremendously talented forward, Dybantsa has likely studied James' game quite often over the years. Now, he will most likely play against LeBron and be matched up against him as a fellow forward.

Since LeBron has not made a decision about his future just yet, there is a chance he might retire this offseason. Dybantsa does not like that because he would love an opportunity to play against one of the game's all-time greats.

"Hopefully, Bron don't retire. Playing against Bron will be great. I don't think none of us get starstruck, but at the end of the day, bro, like it's LeBron. The fact that you're on the same court with LeBron is great," Dybantsa said on ESPN alongside Daryn Peterson and Cameron Boozer.

LeBron's future is still unclear because the Lakers seem keen on bringing him back for one final run. However, LeBron himself has not made a decision, and he has plenty of options around the league.
