Anthony Richardson still seems like an obvious trade candidate for the Indianapolis Colts.

Indy would probably want to get a decent return for the athletically gifted young QB.

In reality, though, the Colts might have to settle for a pretty lame cost.

And if Richardson comes cheap, it could set up to make him a desirable acquisition for another team that thinks it can maximize his talent.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton estimates in a new article that Richardson would only cost a 2027 fifth-round pick to acquire.

That feels like a very worthwhile price for another team to pay to take a flier on Richardson's talent.

"Richardson is a former first-round pick who's only 24 years old and came into the league with just one full year of collegiate starting experience out of Florida," Moton writes. "Richardson still has room for growth. In two years as a starter, he had some flashes, throwing for 2,400 yards, 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions and rushing for 634 yards and 10 scores, but he lacked efficiency with a 50.6 percent completion rate. At 6'4", 244 pounds, Richardson is a unicorn at quarterback in terms of physical stature. A team may look to acquire him as an intriguing project who has untapped potential."

The tough part of Richardson as he nears the end of his rookie contract is that a team might want to bring him in to learn, but they might also have to play him some to determine whether they'd want to keep him around for the long haul.

Still, a fifth-round pick has a bit of value but seems totally fair for Richardson.

The Colts may have to take what they can get, but it could be a good opportunity for another franchise to make a great addition.
