These new headphones deliver audio without blocking the wearer’s ear canal, enabling them to stay connected with their surroundings while also listening to their favorite music and podcasts.
This new version of the product has received significant upgrades in comfort, sound quality and all-important call performance. The ATH-CC500BT2 are designed to be used for a wide range of daily activities including working at home or at the office where you need to be aware of your surroundings. The headphones are also suitable for outdoor walks and casual exercise where safety might be an issue.
The ATH-CC500BT2 works with Audio-Technica’s Connect app for choosing preferred sound settings, including Clear Voice Mode for enhanced dialog clarity. A BGM Mode is also included for a more relaxing listening experience plus Limit Sound Leakage Mode reduces the sonic overspill when listening in public places. With the addition of a Soundscape function, users can explore nature soundscapes designed to boost focus or aid with relaxation.

The Cartilage Conduction Technology used in the ATH-CC500BT2 works by vibrations traveling to the wall of the wearer’s ear canal, which in turn vibrates the air to create sound that reaches the cochlea. It’s as if the wearer’s ears are functioning as speakers. Cartilage conduction offers a way to enjoy music and calls while keeping the ear canals open and free, making it more comfortable and hygienic for long-term use.
Using Next-Generation Vibration Drivers (PAT.P) the sound is enhanced and delivers maximum volume while still offering clear calls and music. The Acoustic Pure Sound Stabilizer drivers used in the ATH-CC500BT2 prevent degradation of sound quality caused by external vibrations.
The battery on the Audio Technica ATH-CC500BT2 can provide up to 20 hours of continuous playtime.

Multipoint Bluetooth Connectivity enables the headphones to be used with two devices at the same time. For example, you can play music on a personal smartphone and then seamlessly switch to an incoming call on a work phone. There’s also support for Siri and Google Assistant voice commands and notifications.
