New York, here BTS comes!

After the success of THE CITY Activations in Seoul, Las Vegas, Busan, and London, BTS are coming to the Big Apple with ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG - New York’ to celebrate their upcoming New York concert dates at MetLife Stadium on August 1 and 2.

From July 24 through August 3, the citywide project is set to transform New York City into an immersive extension of the concert experience, where BTS fans, known as ARMY, can experience BTS’s music, storytelling, and artistry beyond the concert.

There will be LOTS of attractions and experiences for fans to enjoy across the city. Fans can visit “ARMY MADANG” (communal yard for ARMY) at the Korean Cultural Center, New York, and at Grand Central Terminal. THE CITY banners will be on display, pointing at locations to customize your ARMY BOMB lightstick and T-shirts, view iconic stage outfits from the ‘LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOURSELF’ Wembley concerts, and enjoy activations from their partners/sponsors, including Samsung Galaxy, TIRTIR, TOUS les JOURS, Photoism, and more.

There will be a BTS THE CITY ARIRANG NEW YORK POP-UP store with exclusive merchandise. Appointments for the pop-up will available at a later time.

Like the previous THE CITY events, there will be landmark activations, exhibitions, community events, and collaborations with local businesses. There will be a stamp rally connected to your BTS Weverse Fan Club QR Code, with stamps located at various spots throughout the city, including the concert venue, Bank of Hope, Arte Museum New York, and more. Several local businesses have fun BTS-inspired meals and deals, including Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer, KIM’S KIMBAP, and more. There will also be some fun fan events, including a Rendom Dance Play with I LOVE DANCE company, and a collaboration with 33 HOTEL by SONO Calm on IP-based amenities and food and beverage deals.

The previous THE CITY hosts saw an increase in their local economy, in addition to the ticket sales. BTS THE CITY - Las Vegas generated an estimated $340 million in economic impact for its two-week experience, significantly surpassing its 2022 event. Beyond the financial figures, THE CITY events also boosted Korean culture, especially in London, as HYBE, the corporation behind the global superstars, worked closely with the Korean Cultural Centre UK and the British Museum.

BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – New York is set to continue this success through its various experiences and projects.
