The high-stakes drama of the 2025 Formula 1 season heads to Montreal, where the unforgiving 2.67 miles (4.3-kilometre) Circuit Gilles Villeneuve awaits.
Renowned for its tight barriers and punishing layout, the Canadian Grand Prix has a history of producing thrilling, incident-packed races, and this year promises to be no exception.
Fresh off his commanding victory at the Spanish Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri arrives in Canada holding a narrow 10-point advantage over McLaren teammate Lando Norris in the drivers' standings. Momentum is firmly on the young Australian's side as he looks to build on his growing title credentials.
All eyes, however, will be on Max Verstappen. The reigning world champion finds himself in a must-deliver situation, needing a solid result to reignite his title defence. Adding to the pressure, Verstappen is teetering on the edge of a potential suspension, just one penalty point away from a race ban.
That looming threat may force the Red Bull star to adjust his usually aggressive approach behind the wheel, making for an intriguing subplot heading into race weekend.
The 2025 Canadian Grand Prix 2025 weekend is just around the corner, and for all the scheduling, TV, and streaming details you'll need to follow the action, look no further than The Sporting News for a full guide.
