Driving the Arc Sport
Prakhar KhannaThe Consumer Electronics Show is meant to give us a look at cutting-edge tech that might set the tone for the year, and CES 2025 was no different. I experienced several demos, including watching content in Dolby Vision inside a car, seeing a laptop unroll its screen, and more. But these five demos stood out in their own unique ways.
A Stretchable Display
Samsung's stretchable display
Prakhar KhannaSamsung Display showcased a range of rollable, foldable, sharp OLED, and more displays. But the one that caught the most attention was the stretchable display. While we weren’t allowed to touch it, the demo was impressive.
The concept screen is made of Micro LED and can stretch to provide a 3D-like effect to your content. For instance, when a shark hits the screen, it expands to offer a more immersive experience. It’s not rolling out anytime soon, but this is a concept I’d love to see in the market soon.
Arc Sport EV Boat
Arc Sport
Prakhar KhannaI don’t drive a lot and have only driven three EVs to date. But the EV I drove at CES 2025 was different and the most exciting CES demo I’ve ever experienced.
It was the $258,000 Arc Sport boat that almost felt like it was flying on water. It’s fitted with a 570-horsepower motor, paired with 226kWh of battery capacity, and is aimed at the wake sports audience.

The Arc Sport can go up to 40 mph, and you can spend more than six hours on the water, depending on how fast you drive and the battery consumption. You can now reserve it for $500, and it’s set to ship in the coming weeks.

Smart Glasses With Invisible Display
Halliday Glasses
HallidayThe Halliday Glasses are different from the ones I’ve tested so far. Most smart glasses have screens built into the lens, but these glasses feature a unique design. There’s no screen on the lens, but you still get a 3.5-inch display-like field of view.
That’s thanks to the claimed “world’s smallest optical module” fitted into the frame. Like other AI glasses, the Halliday Glasses offer a teleprompter, translations in more than 40 languages, navigation, and more. 2025 seems to be the year of smart glasses and these have a standout design.
An OLED laptop lighter and cheaper than the MacBook Air
Asus Zenbook A14
Prakhar KhannaThis might not seem like the one of the coolest products of CES 2025 at first glance, but I was genuinely surprised when I picked up the Asus Zenbook A14 for the first time.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon X-powered ultrabook sports a 14-inch OLED display, four ports, a claimed all-day battery backup, and weighs just 2.18 pounds (990 grams), over 0.50 pounds (230 grams) lighter than the smaller 13-inch MacBook Air.
The Snapdragon X variant sports 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, while the X Plus version offers 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 storage. The Zenbook A14 will also get a Snapdragon X Elite variant outside the USA.
Robovac With A Robo Arm
Roborock Saros Z70
Roborock/ForbesRobovacs are having their moment, and it is being led by the Roborock Saros S70. It features a robo arm called OmniGrip, which is a five-axis robotic arm housed within the vacuum’s 7.98 cm body. The OmniGrip is stored inside the robovac’s body and is switched off by default.
You can enable it and set it up to pick up light items like socks and toys that weigh up to 300 grams. Once enabled, the Saros S70 performs regular cleaning duties. It marks and detects objects it can lift along the way, then returns later to clean missed areas. is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2025.
