The Arizona Diamondbacks may have struggled to keep Shohei Ohtani quiet, but off the field, they are winning off him.

The Diamondbacks are reportedly auctioning off the baseball Ohtani barreled for a triple in the second inning on Tuesday night. The ball has been authenticated and the bidding starts from $10,000.

According to Fredo Cervantes, 32% of the auction money will go to the D-Backs Foundation and the rest of the money will be reserved for the team. In the same game, Ohtani led off with a double in the first inning and that ball is also being auctioned, starting from $2,000.

On Tuesday, Shohei Ohtani hit a triple in the second inning, and that ball was authenticated and is being sold for $10,000 by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Shohei Ohtani shuts out D-Backs one night later

It was not only that two-run triple that made the night special at Chase Field for Shohei Ohtani. The Los Angeles Dodgers' two-way star had a dominant offensive night, finishing with a double, a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored in the narrow 6-5 win.

This performance was followed by another dominant pitching performance in the 7-0 Dodgers victory against the D-Backs on Wednesday. He threw six scoreless innings, lowering his season ERA to 0.74.

Over the last two weeks, Ohtani's hitting has picked up after a relatively slow start to the season. He entered Wednesday's game, riding an 18-game on-base streak and batting over .400 during that stretch.
