LeBron James is still a free agent as of Monday morning.

And while the basketball world waits, plenty of people are trying to seem like they know what's going on. The latest to do so: Former Lakers, Clippers, Timberwolves, 76ers, Rockets, Bulls and Bucks guard Patrick Beverley.

Yeah, Pat-Bev played for a lot of teams.

And on Monday morning, he posted this on X:

On the one hand, it's perfectly reasonable to think that Beverley might know something. He built a lot of connections through the years.

On the other hand, if Beverley knows something, wouldn't some others know it and potentially be sharing that information too?

This feels like a situation where James probably wouldn't have too wide a circle on what's going on. He's going to want to control the eventual announcement.

He might choose to go home and play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He might choose to team up with Steph Curry on the Golden State Warriors.

The Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves all hope they're still in play, too.

In the end, LeBron is going to make his choice on his own timeline. He's already made that clear by waiting this long.

Could he decide Monday? Sure. Beverley might be in the know.

Or we might still all be waiting as the week goes on to learn what comes next for King James.
