It's more than likely that you know who Macy Gray is, especially if you're a millennial. Personally, "I Try" and "Do Something" went triple-platinum in my mind.

Her anti-trans comments from 2022, however, achieved instant brick status for life. Wack!
And of course, you're familiar with the reality TV monstrosity that is The Masked Singer, which gives us horrifying images like this...

This one will probably haunt me in my dreams.
Something you probably don't know is that Macy Gray has appeared on multiple global iterations of The Masked Singer over the years. She appeared on season three of the show's Australian edition as "Atlantis" in 2021, and she made it to the Season 10 finals of the US edition in 2023 as the "Sea Queen."

And on the January 11 episode of The Masked Singer UK, it was revealed that Macy had given the competition a third go-round — this time, as "Toad in the Hole."
Here's a full look at her costume. It is, in Masked Singer tradition, absolutely ridiculous.
Of course, going by the show's rules, the only reason we know that Macy was "Toad in the Hole" is because she was eliminated on Saturday night's episode — and she seemingly did not take it well.

After it was revealed that she'd lost a crucial sing-off to "Bear" (whoever that is), Macy eschewed the customary onstage reveal and basically just walked offstage. You can see the moment it happened right here.

As you can see in the clip that Masked Singer UK host Joel Dommett shared below, Macy did eventually return to the stage. When he asked her if she "had fun" being on the show, she just replied, "Yeah."
She honestly seemed kind of fed up — which, on a level, I can understand. "You know, I've been singing for a long time, and now I'm a toad," she said at one point during the onstage chat with Joel.
