There has never been an MMA event quite like UFC's recent spectacle in Washington D.C. — and because of the grand plans, Dana White set expectations high.

In some ways, UFC Freedom 250 lived up to its hype, including unique fighter intros, an expensive stage and set-up and a historic card that all ended in knockouts. But with the White House card being streamed on Paramount+, there were questions going into the event surrounding how many fans would tune in from home.

On Thursday, Paramount announced the final viewership numbers from UFC's historic event.

Here's how many people watched the White House fights and how it compared to White's lofty expectations.

How many people watched the 2026 Super Bowl?

Heading into UFC Freedom 250, White set the Super Bowl as a viewership goal for his unique White House event. However, using the figures from Super Bowl LX between the Seahawks and Patriots this past February, it was nowhere close.

Super Bowl LX averaged 125.6 million viewers across NBC, Peacock, Telemundo and the NFL's digital platforms. It's peak viewership hit a reported 137.8 million fans — and while those Seahawks vs. Patriots numbers were slightly down from the 2025 Super Bowl, they still ranked among the most-watched programs in U.S. television history.

What did Dana White say about projected viewership numbers before the event?

Considering how unique and historic the event at the White House was, White set high expectations for how many MMA fans would tune in on Paramount+. But ultimately, those expectations were not met, partially because it was a streaming-only event.

"For UFC fans all over the world, this is a unique experience for everybody," White told UFC on TNT Sports. "We're expecting Super Bowl-type numbers for this fight."

Even before UFC Freedom 250, White's goals were likely unattainable. The most-viewed MMA event of all time in the United States is currently the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano Netflix card that took place in May, which drew 9 million viewers.
