Carson Benge hit a dribbler in front of the pitcher's mound.

The New York Mets rookie ended the play striding through home plate with the Mets' third run of the sequence.

Yep, a crazy "Little League home run," helped by a whopping three errors on the play for the Kansas City Royals.

You'll see very few crazier plays in the entire MLB season.

First, have a watch, and then we'll break it down:

How did the Mets score 3 runs on 3 Royals errors?

The play could've been over before anyone scored.

Benge's dribbler was fielded by former Mets pitcher Seth Lugo, and he threw a one-hopper to first base. It was a long hop, one that probably should be handled, but it got past Jac Caglianone.

Then after Caglianone chased the ball down, he threw it between third base and home plate for no obvious reason.

And then over there, third baseman Nick Loftin chased the ball down, tried to throw home to get Bo Bichette, and threw it away.

That allowed Benge to trail in as the third run.

Absolute craziness.
