LeBron James is taking his time.
The NBA world is presenting all sorts of possible destinations for the legendary free agent. The Golden State Warriors led the way early. The Philadelphia 76ers popped their head in. The Miami Heat could bring him back and pair him with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
But maybe, just maybe, the Cleveland Cavaliers are inevitable.
The kid from Akron, going home again? It's sounding more and more likely.

Are the Cavs signing LeBron?
The latest update from ESPN's Brian Windhorst makes it feel more likely than it has that the Cavs will be the team that gets LeBron.
Windhorst, during an appearance on Pardon My Take, essentially spelled out the fact that other teams don't have optimism about LeBron because they think he's going to end up in Cleveland:
“I’ve talked to people in Philly, and I’m like what do you think? ‘We’re afraid it’s Cleveland,’ - everybody I talked to is like ‘we’re afraid it’s Cleveland,’ - nobody seems like they have optimism,” - @WindhorstESPN on the latest with LeBron James 👀👀 pic.twitter.com/aGcO0GiPFo

There would definitely be something fitting about LeBron wrapping his NBA career up with the Cavs.
Cleveland also has a very talented roster, although they might have to trade Jarrett Allen and/or Max Strus to really fit James on the books.
It's obvious that a homecoming has an appeal that only Cleveland would be able to match. There are plenty of talented potential teammates for LeBron to join. Only one possible destination is home.
Nothing is a given yet, and James may continue to take his time on this.
But as of this Windhorst update on Monday, July 6 -- it's feeling more and more like LeBron may wind up in a Cavaliers uniform again.
