If You're Obsessed With Werewolf Fantasy Dramas, These 8 Vertical Series NEED To Be Your Next Binge

1 day ago 3

Calling all werewolf fantasy lovers: this one's for you! Whether you're here for fated mates, powerful Alphas, rejected Lunas, secret royal bloodlines, or enough pack drama to make your head spin, vertical dramas have fully embraced the werewolf genre, and I'm not complaining. I've already shared some of my favorite revenge, romance, and LGBTQ+ micro dramas, but this time we're diving into a world filled with prophecies, ancient curses, supernatural love triangles, and way too many emotionally unavailable Alphas.

Here are eight vertical dramas every werewolf fantasy lover needs to watch.

1. Fated to My Forbidden Alpha on ReelShort

I figured we should start with a drama that wastes absolutely no time throwing its main character into the deep end. This one follows Selena, who has grown up as an orphan in the Blood Moon pack, treated more like a servant than an actual member. She’s constantly mistreated, especially by the Alpha’s fiancée, and just counting down the days till she turns 18 so she can finally leave. But of course, things don’t go as planned. The moment she turns 18, she finds out her fated mate is none other than Alpha Jackson, the very person who’s stood by and let her be treated this way. In some versions, it’s Alpha Alexander, which only makes things messier because that pairing is just as complicated. So now she’s stuck between wanting to escape and being tied to someone she absolutely does not trust.

Here's a little something from the trailer:

2. Divorced, Now a Lycan Princess on DramaBox

This one follows Aria, who is already having a terrible day when she discovers her Alpha husband, Julian, has been cheating on her. To make matters worse, she finds out while she's pregnant and preparing to share the news with him. Instead, she's forced to watch his pregnant mistress flaunt their affair in front of reporters. After a series of events reveal her extraordinary healing powers, Aria learns that she is actually the long-lost daughter of the Lycan King. Suddenly, the woman everyone underestimated turns out to be werewolf royalty with powers that most people thought were impossible.

You guessed it: now it's time for a snippet from episode one:

3. Kissed by Claw and Fang on ReelShort

If your ideal drama involves supernatural love triangles and impossible choices, this one is basically tailor-made for you. This drama follows Ivy, whose life takes a dramatic turn when her family goes bankrupt, forcing her to secretly live in her car while attending an elite private school. As if hiding that secret wasn't stressful enough, she soon discovers that she's the fated mate of not one but two supernatural heartthrobs: Sebastian, the fiery werewolf heir, and Zane, the mysterious vampire prince. I mean, if I had a nickel for every time a homeless teenage girl found herself caught between a werewolf and a vampire, I'd only have one nickel, but it's still a pretty wild premise.

I'll let the trailer do some of the convincing—here's a snippet:

4. Forsaken and Barren, The Pure-Blood Luna is Back on DramaBox

Before you judge this AI vertical drama, let me be the first to admit that I went into it with very low expectations, but I ended up watching a lot more of it than I originally planned. This one follows Isabella, who spends three years honoring a vow to marry Alpha Evan and protect his pack, only to be treated terribly in return. Despite her loyalty, Evan humiliates her at every turn, marks her sister Selena instead, and even goes around claiming that Isabella is barren. Needless to say, I was ready to fight this man by the end of the first episode. And, as these dramas love to remind us, the people doing the humiliating are usually missing a very important piece of information. In this case, it's the fact that Isabella is actually the true Pure-Blood Luna heir.

Here's a sneak peek from episode one that hooked me:

5. Alpha Revenge: Wolf King and His Human Luna on ReelShort

I have a soft spot for forbidden romances, so the idea of a human ending up as the Wolf King's mate immediately had my attention. This drama follows Julia, an ordinary human whose life changes forever when she discovers she's the fated mate of Alpha Dante, the powerful and notoriously ruthless Wolf King. The problem? Werewolf society isn't exactly thrilled about the idea of a human becoming Luna. In fact, most of the pack sees Julia as completely unworthy of the role. What I liked about this one is that the drama doesn't just come from the romance itself. Julia and Dante are constantly forced to defend their relationship against pack elders, rival wolves, and centuries of tradition telling them they shouldn't be together.

Here's your first glimpse of the chaos:

6. The Cursed Alpha's Mate on ReelShort

I'm not saying cheating is a requirement for a good werewolf drama, but it does seem to be a recurring theme. This one follows Shay, whose plans for a very important night are ruined when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her. Heartbroken and determined not to spend the evening feeling sorry for herself, she heads out with her best friend and makes a spur-of-the-moment decision that ends up changing her life completely. Instead of finding a rebound, she finds Alpha Mal Haywood, a powerful werewolf who immediately recognizes her as his fated mate. As if navigating a forbidden relationship between a human and a werewolf wasn't complicated enough, Mal is also racing against time. Thanks to a witch's curse, he must find and mark his mate before his 30th birthday or die.

Here's a quick look at the trailer because words can only do so much:

7. The Alpha's Cursed Lune on MyDrama

Just when you think you've heard every possible werewolf storyline, this one comes along. This one follows Aria, a young woman whose life is turned upside down after a routine hospital visit ends with her being accidentally inseminated with the baby of one of the most powerful Alphas around. Suddenly, she's thrust into a world of pack politics, dangerous enemies, and secrets she never asked to be part of. Things only get messier when she learns that the Alpha is tied to an ancient infertility curse and is already promised to someone else.

Let's take a quick look at how this whole mess begins:

8. Blood & Silver: Rise of the Alpha's Rejected Mate on ReelShort

You know those dramas where the male lead spends so much time being awful that you spend half the story waiting for his downfall? Yeah, this is one of those. After a tragedy destroys two powerful wolf packs, Ann Reed is forced into a mating bond with Alpha Dane Montague, a man who blames her for his family's death. Instead of treating her like a mate, he spends years making her life miserable, convinced she'll never mean anything to him. Eventually, Ann reaches her breaking point, severs their magical bond, and disappears without a trace. But this isn't a story about Ann coming back heartbroken. Years later, she returns as Aurora Moon, the wealthy and powerful heir to a royal wolf pack. She has a new life, a new identity, and absolutely no interest in getting tangled up with Dane again. Naturally, that's exactly when he starts paying attention.

And because I know you're curious, here's a little something from the trailer:

Now excuse me while I go rewatch half of these and pretend I don't have responsibilities. In the meantime, tell me your favorite werewolf vertical drama in the comments, I’m always looking for recommendations!
