Camera gimbals are designed for videographers, content creators, solo adventurers and professional moviemakers who want professional quality video shots. These next-generation AI-powered gimbals can transform a smartphone into the ultimate content-creation tool that can produce breathtaking video shots.

Apple DockKit Integration

The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro integrates Apple’s DockKit and bridges the gap between professional-grade tracking and user-friendly convenience. Designed exclusively for iPhones, the Flow 2 Pro uses Apple DockKit to provide native subject tracking for the iPhone’s built-in Camera app as well as Blackmagic and over 200 third-party iOS apps. From Photo and Cinematic modes to Slow Motion, Flow 2 Pro eliminates the need for additional software making it simpler and more effective.

Apple’s DockKit can transform an iPhone into a powerful shooting tool for professional content creation, virtual meetings, video calls and live streaming. Insta360 has also added Deep Track 4.0 to the Flow 2 Pro to ensure shots are always perfectly framed and smooth.

Extended zooming while tracking a moving subject is now possible using Active Zoom Tracking. This feature can be used for capturing dynamic sports or distant scenes and could be a game-changer for capturing action. Unlike some competing products, Insta360 says the ability to track subjects effectively at range means the Flow 2 Pro can capture action shots with clarity and perfect framing, no matter how far away.

The Flow 2 Pro can also track multiple people in real-time, ensuring that an entire group is perfectly framed. From family photos to group videos, the AI automatically adapts to the shooting environment and Insta360 says the Flow 2 Pro can keep up with every movement within a group, ensuring the host is centered and framed.

The Insta360 Flow 2 Pro not only tracks subjects using AI, but it also frames shots using the Golden ... [+] Ration principle.

Storytelling can be boosted by using the built-in Pro Framing Grid, an AI-assisted feature designed to incorporate the Golden Ratio into every shot. By guiding framing and composition, Flow 2 Pro can help beginners achieve more professional and cinematic results.

When shooting in the Insta360 app, the user can tap one of the nine grids and the gimbal will automatically analyze the subject position and composition better a better shot when setting up a professional shoot or exploring new and creative angles.

Sturdier Build, 360° Tracking and Free Tilt Mode

The Flow 2 Pro now also features a stronger tripod, while the Free Tilt Mode unlocks potential for filmmakers and vloggers by making crane shots, tilt shots and crane-tilt shots easier.

With support for 360° Infinite Pan Tracking, the Flow 2 Pro’s gimbal can rotate endlessly for uninterrupted tracking. Whether the user is following fast-paced sports, capturing live events or experimenting with creative transitions, Insta360 claims this innovation will ensure filmmakers never miss a shot.

The Flow 2 Pro is compact but also includes an extendable selfie stick for both high and low shots.

The Flow 2 Pro also supports Dolby Vision and Apple ProRes for clarity, color depth and dynamic range with boosted brightness and color contrast. Apple ProRes can capture video in HDR, SDR or Log for more detailed footage that can be professionally graded providing more flexibility in the edit suite.

Integrated Selfie Mirror

The new Flow 2 Pro has a mirror attached for framing a shot without a screen, making it ideal for selfies or vlogging with the rear camera of an iPhone for better image quality. For live streamers and content creators, there’s no longer a need to memorize lines or awkward pauses thanks to the Flow 2 Pro’s Teleprompter Mode that can display scripts while filming or livestreaming.

Controlling the Flow 2 Pro remotely is possible using an Apple Watch or a second smartphone. This feature lets creators adjust angles, start/stop recording or manage tracking without interrupting a shot.

The Flow 2 Pro’s lineup has a range of dedicated accessories, including a magnetic phone mount that doubles as a desktop stand, a magnetic cooling mount optimized for iPhones with two sizes to fit different models, plus a backpack mount for hands-free filming when on the move.
