During the Fanatics Fest last week, the Minnesota Timberwolves star was seen wearing a black ring on his ring finger.

After the ring was initially seen as nothing but a fashion choice, new legal documents now show that Edwards and his girlfriend of six years, Shannon Jackson, are now married.

Is Anthony Edwards married?

Yes, Edwards has reportedly married his girlfriend, Shannon Jackson. The two have been together since 2020 and have a daughter named Aislynn. Their child was born in 2024, an event Edwards left a Timberwolves game early for.

According to the Minnesota Official Marriage System's website, per Minnesota Sports Fan, there is a certificate listed for Edwards and Jackson. The couple got married on July 16, 2026, in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Who is Shannon Jackson?

Jackson has been dating the Minnesota franchise's centerpiece since 2020. 

According to People, the influencer posted their first public picture on Instagram in 2020 and has been a courtside frequent at her current husband's games for the Timberwolves ever since. On Jan. 21, 2023, just a few days before his girlfriend's 29th birthday, he scored a season-high 44 points, with eight 3-pointers, and led his team to victory over the Houston Rockets. After the game, he dedicated the performance to his girlfriend.

“My girlfriend’s birthday is in [a few] days man. She’s going out of the country so I had to put on a show for her," Edwards told ESPN.

Shannon Jackson past relationship

Jackson's most notable past relationship came with rapper Chief Keef. The two were together from 2013 to 2014, according to People.

Jackson has an older son, Krue, with the rapper in September 2014.

Does Anthony Edwards have kids?

Yes, Edwards has four children, according to Parade.

He had his first child, Aris, with beauty influencer Daja Carlyle in September 2023. A month later, Edwards' second child, a son named Amir, was born to Alexandria Desroches.

In 2024, Edwards left a Timberwolves game at halftime to join his at-the-time girlfriend and current wife, Shannon Jackson, for the birth of his third child, a daughter named Aislynn. In October 2024, Aubri’ Summers was born with influencer Ayesha Howard as her mother.
