Both the Ivory Coast and Norway qualified for the Round of 32 by finishing as the runners-up in their groups. The Ivory Coast's lone loss came against Germany, while Norway's came against 2022 World Cup finalist France.

The winner of Tuesday's match will take on five-time World Cup winner Brazil in the Round of 16 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday.
