With the Los Angeles Lakers now needing to move on from somebody, there are questions about whether that could end up being Bronny James.
James, who has some tools and reportedly the Lakers actually like him as a player, doesn't seem to be the most obvious player the Lakers want to move on from at the moment, but might get the favor of being moved on from to pair him back with his father whenever he decides he wants to play for a different team.
According to the latest report, there are three players who could be cut ties with, and James is one of them.
"Clearly, the Lakers need to dump someone, and I think it's going to be one of three players," Jovan Buha said, per Basketnews. "It's going to either be Dalton Knecht, Jaden Hardy, or Bronny James…
"The Lakers are not actively trying to dump Bronny," Buha explained. "It is more so, 'We like this dude, we've developed this dude. If you want to make us an offer, we will evaluate it just like any offer for any player, but you're going to have to make us a real offer.'"
The interesting part here is that the Lakers aren't just trying to move on from him for its own sake. In fact, Los Angeles, as I noted above, likes him as a player and is looking to see whether it can get anything for him. If the Lakers decide to put him in a trade package that could benefit both sides, that would be the best-case scenario for all involved here.
