Lane Kiffin has one of the country's best athletes committed to the LSU Tigers football program.
His name is Ahmad Hudson, and on the gridiron, he's a tight end.
The recruit from Louisiana isn't just any tight end, though. He's the No. 1 ranked TE in the country for his class.
That's not all Hudson does, though. He can also hoop.
Right now, he's played at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, the premier event in AAU basketball.
And he caught the eye of college basketball insider Jeff Goodman, who shared this high praise for Hudson on X:
Watching Ahmad Hudson, the No. 1 tight end who is committed to LSU, and this kid could play hoop for anyone in the country.
Plays so damn hard, incredible athlete and great hands.
Can’t even imagine how good he’s gonna be for Lane Kiffin. pic.twitter.com/hSHLwLtCTn
It's the kind of sentiment that does make you wonder whether Hudson could ever step onto a college basketball court, potentially down in Baton Rouge.
There's been no such suggestion of that right now, and it's not obvious that Kiffin would want it, anyway.
But Hudson is the kind of athlete who seems like he could do anything he puts his mind to. If that's limited to the football field for LSU, the Tigers will be quite pleased with that.
