LeBron James gives answer on free agent decision during Mind The Game podcast with Tyrese Haliburton

LeBron James gave an answer on his free agency decision on Thursday.

On his much anticipated live recording of the Mind The Game Podcast with Tyrese Haliburton at the Fanatics FanFest, James did indeed respond to a question from the Indiana Pacers star about what comes next for the King. He didn't give the answer, though.

The NBA world is awaiting James' next move. He's a free agent who has made clear he's not returning to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers are among the teams who are in play, with other squads also trying to view themselves as dark-horse contenders in the pursuit of LeBron.

On Thursday, though, James seemed to imply it's not a done deal anywhere yet.

What did LeBron James say on Mind The Game with Tyrese Haliburton?

Haliburton asked LeBron about what he planned to do for the season ahead, and the all-time great responded, "Didn't we already talk about this in the back."

That brought a simple, "I'll leave it alone," from Haliburton.

Tyrese Haliburton attempted to ask LeBron James about his decision early on in the program and James did not bite, saying “didn’t we already talk about this in the back.” Haliburton acquiesced and said, “I’ll leave it alone.”

Barring a later, scripted twist in the program, it doesn't seem like James plans to announce his news Thursday.

He did say later during the conversation: "It's going to be fun wherever I land."

Considering he's someone who has always wanted control, this stage would've been a decent atmosphere to do it in -- but announcing it alongside Haliburton may not have been the vibe he wanted.

It's not even clear whether LeBron has actually made his mind up.

For now, the NBA world keeps waiting.
