Loretta Devine Discussed Her "Mixed" Experience Working With Jennifer Love Hewitt

While Loretta says she was initially "very excited" about the changes, producers seemingly weren't because the show was ultimately canceled in 2013 after alleged creative differences between Jennifer and Lifetime. 

At the time, Entertainment Weekly reported that they couldn't figure out plans for Season 3 amid Jennifer's real-life pregnancy with her co-star and now-husband Brian. According to Deadline, she wanted Brian to portray her child's father while the showrunner wanted Colin, and when those conversations stalled, the show was canceled.
