Olivia Miles injury update doesn't look like great news for Minnesota Lynx

The Minnesota Lynx were on the court early on Wednesday, playing some matinee action in front of adoring fans.

Those fans had to see something they weren't there to see: Olivia Miles went down with an injury.

The rising superstar rookie appeared to roll her ankle pretty painfully, and she stayed down for a while.

Eventually, Miles went left the court with the help of two staff members:

ESPN's Myron Medcalf soon provided this update on X:

"Olivia Miles back on the bench. Not sure of her status but just she stood up to cheer for her team. She still appears to be limping, though. Looked like she rolled her left ankle on replays."

Miles was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft after a college career that began at Notre Dame and ended at TCU.

At the moment, she's running away with the Rookie of the Year race.

Miles entered Wednesday averaging 19.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game. She's already one of the league's top playmakers.

The Lynx have been strong even without Napheesa Collier all year, in large part because of Miles. They can't afford to lose her for long.

A bit of good news? She was dancing after the game:

Take a deep breath. Things appear to be good enough to dance for Olivia Miles. Lynx secure yet another home win. 96-87 over the Sparks. @FOX9 pic.twitter.com/32xQCjn5wX
