Penn Badgley Just Revealed That He Had To Put Wax “In Every Orifice” For The Water Scene In "You" Because The Pond Was “Laced With E. Coli”

If you need reminding, You stars Penn Badgley as serial killer Joe Goldberg, and is based on Caroline Kepnes’s book of the same name. The TV show first premiered in 2018, and over the years, we’ve watched Joe stalk, manipulate, and murder his way through the series in some truly harrowing scenes. 

While there is absolutely no doubt that Joe is not, in any capacity, a nice guy, the character has remained pretty beloved by fans of the show, which is mainly due to the fact that he is the narrator, and consequently has the ability to manipulate viewers with the same charm and gaslighting that he manipulates his victims with onscreen.

However, in the very final episode of the series, Joe is fully exposed as the monster that he has always been as he goes head-to-head with his Season 5 love interest, Louise “Bronte” Flannery, played by Madeline Brewer.
