The Colorado Rockies are sitting at the bottom of the National League and are essentially guaranteed to be trade deadline sellers later this summer.
As they head into the MLB All-Star break, there are a few players on the roster likely drawing trade interest. Antonio Senzatela and outfielders Mickey Moniak and Jake McCarthy will likely be of interest. But Hunter Goodman is the top target by far.
However, according to USA Today's Bob Nighentengale, the Rockies have no plans to trade Goodman this summer, which is bad news for a team like the New York Yankees, who reportedly want to trade for Goodman.
Rockies don't plan to trade Hunter Goodman
"Yet, the Rockies plan to keep Goodman, who has the second-most homers in the NL behind Kyle Schwarber," Nightengale reports.
While the Rockies could easily justify trading Goodman as a seller, especially if the return from a team features some incredible value, their plans right now are not to sell.
Goodman, the 26-year-old right-handed hitting catcher, who has 27 homers before the final game ahead of the All-Star break, is not likely to be dealt.

The now two-time All-Star catcher is under control through the 2029 season, so the Rockies really have no rush to trade Goodman.
Sure, they could get a massive haul for him this summer, but it makes more sense to keep him as a core member of the future of the Rockies, and if things go south in the future, they could trade him then.
But, for now, the Rockies have no plans to trade Goodman, much to the chagrin of the Yankees and any other club that might have interest in the .862 OPS catcher who's headed to Philadelphia for his second All-Star nod in his young career.
