Coming off their Super Bowl title, the Seattle Seahawks lost a lot of players to new clubs in the offseason. But the one area of the roster left mostly unchanged is the offensive line.
Protecting Sam Darnold is key to the Seahawks finding success in 2026. But, it's also important to have good run blocking, as Kenneth Walker III is off the team, and Zach Charbonnet is starting the year hurt. Seattle needs their OL to be great.
So, why not make a trade to improve the OL as much as possible? Bleacher Report's Moe Moton proposed a trade idea that would do just that. This idea lands the Las Vegas Raiders IOL Jackson Powers-Johnson for a reasonable mid-round pick cost.
Seahawks trade idea lands Jackson Powers-Johnson from Raiders
"Seattle Seahawks: Trade a mid-round 2027 pick for Las Vegas Raiders IOL Jackson Powers-Johnson," Moton writes. "... The Seahawks should inquire about Powers-Johnson, who's battling for a starting guard position with the Raiders in consecutive offseasons."
The Raiders' 2024 second-rounder would be a good trade target for many clubs eyeing interior offensive line help. Seattle would make perfect sense as a trade partner.
Klint Kubiak is headed to Las Vegas, and if he doesn't wind up going with the 44th overall pick two years ago as a starter, his former team would be a good landing spot for the lineman.
Powers-Johnson, the 6-foot-3, 325-pound interior lineman, has made 21 starts over the last two seasons, as he missed a bit of time this past season due to injury.

But the Seahawks should be more than willing to spend a mid-round pick, in Rounds 4 or 5, on Powers-Johnson this offseason. He's exactly the kind of player Seattle would benefit from.
The Raiders lineman can play guard or center, which would give Seattle options if they acquired him. Powers-Johnson could be the starting center over Jalen Sundell or the starting right guard over Anthony Bradford.
Either outcome would be an upgrade for the Seahawks. Since he's a 2024 draft pick, he's under his rookie deal through 2027, and would be fairly cheap all things considered.
This upcoming season, the Seattle OL will be more important than ever, and Powers-Johnson would be a perfect addition with his center/guard versatility.
