Taylor Swift friend in upstate New York ahead of Travis Kelce wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are rumored to get married today, July 3, at Madison Square Garden, and one of her best friends was spotted hours away from the suspected venue.

Swift's longtime friend, Blake Lively, and her husband Ryan Reynolds were photographed in upstate New York on July 2, according to a photo obtained by TMZ. The two have been friends for over a decade but have reportedly grown distant after the singer was named in Lively's lawsuit against Justin Baldoni.

Swift's 2020 song "My Tears Ricochet" was used in the 2024 film It Ends With Us starring Lively and Baldoni, and a spokesperson shared that it was her only involvement in the film.

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024,” the spokesperson told CNN back in May.

Lively sued Baldoni for alleging him for sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her. The Jane's also filed a 400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane for allegedly trying to tarnish his reputation. That lawsuit was dismissed in June 2025. Back in May, Lively and Baldoni ended their years-long legal battle with an ordered settlement.

“The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet.’ Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case,” the spokesperson added.

The Gossip Girl alum reportedly was also not invited to her friend's nuptials.

“There hasn’t been an olive branch when it comes to their friendship,” the insider told Page Six. “And Taylor hasn’t extended a wedding invitation to Blake.”

While Lively is not expected to show up to the wedding, Swift and Kelce will reportedly say "I do" tonight.
