Most of the WNBA's stars were out in full force on Thursday night on the Orange Carpet, showing off their best outfits and top-notch style.
Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark wasn't there, though.
It was a notable absence, particularly considering her teammates Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston were there.
Clark probably draws more eyes to the WNBA than anyone else, so she was conspicuous by her absence.
Why wasn't Caitlin Clark at the Orange Carpet event?
Clark was instead in her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa.
She was there to take part in an event for the Caitlin Clark Foundation, according to USA Today.
Clark got her hair done while there, which her hairdresser posted about on Instagram.
While the report from USA Today doesn't make clear exactly what the event Clark was attending, she did make it to All-Star Weekend festivities by Friday.
Part of the reason she didn't have to be in town earlier is that Clark opted out of the 3-Point Contest.
This is Clark's third All-Star selection in as many seasons, although she couldn't play last year due to a groin injury.
This time around, after a slight delay, she has arrived and is ready to play.
