Three teenagers arrested after boy, 14, stabbed to death

Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 14-year-old boy was found fatally stabbed in north Manchester, police have said.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police responded to reports of a serious assault on Nevin Road, New Moston, at around 5pm on Sunday.

They found a 14-year-old boy with stab wounds and despite the efforts of the emergency services, including air ambulance staff, he later died in hospital.

Potential suspects were quickly identified by the force, who arrested a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender at a nearby address.

Two boys aged 14 and 16 were arrested on suspicion of murder a short time later.

A 14-year-old girl has been arrested overnight on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All four remain in custody for questioning.
