The Minnesota Twins are one team many clubs around baseball are eyeing for potential trade deadline additions. Ryan Jeffers is one player strongly linked to other clubs as a trade option.
However, while Jeffers might be dealt regardless of the Twins' standing, the same cannot be said for Joe Ryan and Byron Buxton. Those two stars have a lot of uncertainty surrounding their trade availability.
According to ESPN's Jeff Passan and Kiley McDaniel, the most notable change in the last few weeks has been with Buxton. His trade odds have seen a 20% change, and more specifically, a 20% decrease in the change he's dealt this summer.
Twins' Byron Buxton trade odds fall 20% per ESPN
"So, while we've dropped the odds from unlikely (30%) to extremely unlikely (10%), removing Buxton from the board altogether discounts the possibility of a team blowing away Minnesota with an offer that's too good to refuse," McDaniel and Passan write.
Buxton told reporters, "I'm a Twin," and the Twins' general manager, Jeremy Zoll, said afterwards that a Buxton trade, "it's not something we're exploring. It's not something we plan to explore."
Those two comments are what sparked ESPN to drop Buxton's trade odds from 30% to just 10%. With under a month to go until the MLB trade deadline, Buxton's trade odds have fallen 20%.

It's not looking likely that the All-Star outfielder will be on the move this summer, as he has a no-trade clause and full control over whether he's dealt or not.
Add in that the Twins themselves seemingly don't plan to trade Buxton, and there are two major hurdles teams would have to clear to add him this summer.
Plus, the Twins are actually within striking distance of a postseason spot this season. At 44-47, the Twins are just 1.5 games out of a Wild Card spot in the weak AL race.
While it might be false hope, as the Twins aren't good enough to go on a deep postseason run, if the Twins believe they can make the postseason, they might not be sellers, especially with someone as important as Buxton.
