What's wrong with Troy Aikman's voice?

During the first moments of the game, fans heard ESPN color commentator Troy Aikman sound a little off compared to his typical voice during the season. As the Rams drove down for an opening-drive touchdown, Aikman's voice sounded different than usual.

Aikman was a big part of ESPN's pregame show, as he helped the network cover the Cowboys' decision to part ways with head coach McCarthy. It is unclear whether that played a role, or whether he is just dealing with a bug that is impacting his voice.

Aikman will have to find a way to fight through the voice issues for the game, and this isn't even ESPN's final broadcast of the season. The network will also have a game next Saturday, so Aikman will get four days in between the two games to recover.
