On and off the pitch, the final day of the 2026 World Cup is loaded with star power.

The matchup itself will see Argentina's veteran star, Lionel Messi, lead his squad against Spain's young phenom, Lamine Yamal. But FIFA also has some big plans for Sunday's matchup.

A massive halftime performance will take place at MetLife Field, featuring a collection of some of the most well-known artists in the world.

FIFA has announced a loaded lineup for the 2026 World Cup halftime show, to be performed at MetLife Stadium at the break between Spain and Argentina.

The lineup was curated by lead Coldplay singer Chris Martin, featuring some of the most famous artists on the planet. Shakira and Burna Boy will return to the stage after performing their official World Cup song, "Dai Dai," during the opening ceremonies, while Post Malone, Madonna, Justin Bieber, BTS, Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus will all play roles as well.

The halftime show is set to support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

“When it comes to what the world needs, there is nothing more important than education. We are proud to have Justin Bieber joining Madonna, Shakira and BTS to co-headline the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show in support of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children around the world,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement about the show.

“Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel and PS 22 Chorus ft. Coldplay will also join and play a key role in conveying a powerful message of unity and hope to billions of people worldwide. As the world unites for the most significant football match in history on Sunday, 19 July 2026 at the New York New Jersey Stadium, this groundbreaking spectacle, curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay, will celebrate football, music and our shared values, ensuring a legacy that transcends the final whistle.”

On top of all the big-time singers, FIFA previously said that characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will be a part of the show.

Because of the number of performers, it is expected to be a longer halftime than usual for the World Cup final. Per The Athletic, FIFA is targeting the show to last "no longer than 20 minutes," which would go against the International Football Association Board (IFAB) rulebook of a 15-minute halftime.

This will mark the first-ever halftime show for a World Cup final.
