Oba Femi Vs. Brock Lesnar—Hell In A Cell—Confirmed For SummerSlam

  • King Oba Femi was showered with cheers. He continued to talk about destiny like she was his side chick, only to be interrupted by Brock Lesnar, who was flanked by Paul Heyman.
  • Lesnar sarcastically applauded Oba for his win before introducing “your King of the Ring: Oba Femi!” Lesnar said he “hasn’t watched the show. Everybody knows he doesn’t watch the show.”
  • Lesnar called out Oba for calling him a “coward” and a “b—ch.” Lesnar said Femi cuts a great promo, which he never really could. “That’s why I got Mr. Heyman, here,” said Lesnar. Lesnar warned Oba: “Talk s—t, get hit,” then he low-blowed Oba and laid him out with an F5.
  • Oba immediately recovered from the F5 and challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at SummerSlam. Lesnar accepted, but he added a stipulation: Hell in a Cell.

Rey Mysterio Def. Ethan Page

  • Ethan Page cheated to gain an early advantage over Rey Mysterio, and received a lot of heat for it. Similar to his successful run in WWE, Ethan has taken to Raw like a Canadian duck to water.
  • The story of the match was Ethan Page working on the lower back of Rey Mysterio to slow down the Hall of Famer and AAA General Manager. Mysterio came back with a baseball slide into a splash on the outside.
  • Rey exploded on Ethan with 10-count punches, but a tilt-a-whirl was countered by Page with a sitout faceplant. Mysterio tripped Page onto the second rope, but Page cut off Rey Mysterio with a big boot as Rey attempted a 619.
  • Mysterio finally connected with 619 followed by a Frog Splash for the win.

Match Grade: B

Joe Hendry Def. Austin Theory

  • Montez Ford admitted how good he looks in a suit before thanking Seth Freakin’ Rollins. The duo also thanked Joe Hendry. The Street Profits received “you deserve it” chants despite being on their fifth tag team title reign.
  • Hendry sang, taunting Austin Theory, Logan Paul, Paul Heyman and even Brock Lesnar. Theory, who was essentially abandoned by Paul Heyman earlier in the night, interrupted. Theory reminded Hendry that he beat John Cena at WrestleMania. New Jersey seemed to have forgot, because there was no reaction to this line.
  • Theory vowed that, next week, the dog (Bron Breakker) would be off the leash. This led to a one-on-one match between Hendry and Theory. Hendry hit a Hit Single clothesline early in the match for a nearfall.
  • Hendry and Theory went back-and-forth with strikes before Joe hit a Standing Ovation for the win.

Match Grade: B-

Liv Morgan And Iyo Sky Face Off

  • Iyo Sky soaked in the New Jersey cheers for her coronation. Liv Morgan interrupted and once again called herself the greatest women’s world champion of all time. The Judgment Day women crowded Iyo, but Iyo fought off Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.
  • Fans chanted for Iyo as she was 3-v-1’d at the hands of the Judgment Day. Liv finished her off with the Oblivion to a chorus of boos.
  • Morgan locked in a half-crab on Iyo Sky as the Queen of the Ring tapped out.

Jimmy Uso Def. LA Knight

  • Jimmy Uso and LA Knight tussled around early as the announcers talked up Knight’s unlikely alliance with Solo Sikoa. Mind you, Germany and Paraguay began penalty shootouts as this match began.
  • With Jey Uso on commentary, LA Knight hit a basement dropkick on Jimmy before faking like he was going to throw Jimmy into Jey. Knight then blindsided Jey Uso with a big boot.
  • Knight returned to the ring and connected with an inverted DDT on Jimmy. Knight knocked Jey Uso off the apron, but was then rolled up by Jimmy for the win. After the match, Knight laid out both Usos with help from Solo Sikoa.

Match Grade: B-

Raquel Rodriguez Def. Maxxine Dupri

  • Backstage, Maxxine Dupri showed regret for her harsh words against Chad Gable last week, though she said she meant every word. Before she could apologize to Gable, he admitted that she had every right to feel the way she felt.
  • Raquel got the early advantage and smothered Maxxine in the corner. Rodriguez hoisted Dupri into a Torture Rack, but Dupri fought out of it for a sunset flip attempt. Raquel missed a clothesline attempt, but then clotheslined the hell out of Maxxine on her second try.
  • Maxxine battled back, but Raquel caught a spinning kick attempt and stuck Maxxine with a Tejana Bomb for the win. Raquel Rodriguez will now get a shot at Sol Ruca’s Intercontinental Championship.

Match Grade: C

Chad Gable Def. JD McDonagh

  • Backstage, Austin Theory guilt-tripped Maxxine Dupri about her sympathy for Chad Gable.
  • Chad Gable started off hot, but Dominik Mysterio got involved, helping JD gain control. JD hit a scary-looking Spanish Fly for a nearfall. Danhausen interfered, opening the door for Chad Gable to lock in the ankle lock for the win.
  • After the match, a briefcase of cash exploded in McDonagh and Mysterio’s face. As danhausen tried to escape with a Knicks jersey worn by Dominik, Raquel Rodriguez attacked him from behind and he disappeared.

Match Grade: B+

Seth Rollins Challenges Roman Reigns

  • Roman Reigns walked out with Jacob Fatu. Atlantic City acknowledged Roman Reigns before Seth Rollins interrupted him. Seth Rollins said Roman Reigns owes him, but Seth owns Roman. Seth reminded Reigns that during his reign of terror in the early 2020s, Seth was the only person he couldn’t beat. Seth said he beat Reigns at WrestleMania last year and took his wiseman. He helped Cody Rhodes finish his story at the expense of Reigns. Now Rollins is giving Reigns the opportunity to finally beat him.
  • Rollins referenced The Shield kicking the old generation to the curb while creating the greatest generation in the history of this industry. But they are much closer to the end than they are to the beginning. Now there’s a new generation ready to do the same thing to Reigns and Rollins. “This may be our last chance to do this dance, brother. What do you want your legacy to be?”
  • Rollins acknowledged Reigns as a surefire Hall of Famer, but if he doesn’t accept this challenge, he will never be able to escape the ghost of Seth Rollins. Reigns said he didn’t want to beat Seth Rollins, he needed to beat him. Reigns accepted.
