Brewers have an opportunity to draft serious offensive firepower at pick No. 25

For the last three seasons, the Milwaukee Brewers have led the National League Central division. Now, the team has put itself in an excellent spot to make it a four-peat.

Going into Friday's games, they hold a 59-34 record, seven games ahead of the Chicago Cubs, who sit in second place in the division.

So, as you can imagine, being so good over the years, the team hasn't had all that high of a draft pick. Either way, they have still made the most of their late first-round picks over the years.

Over the years, Milwaukee has felt more comfortable drafting position players. Many of these were college bats, like Garrett Mitchell and Sal Frelick.

They value grabbing a bat before an arm, and Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer suggests they should "stick to the script" in this year's draft.

"Since 2016, the Brewers have used exactly two first-round picks on pitchers. They prefer to grab good bats and simply find and cultivate good pitchers in other ways, and nobody can say that approach has failed them. So, with apologies to Botts Riley, 'stick to the script' really is the best advice we have to give. There could be some good college bats left at No. 25, including dangerous righties like Aiden Robbins out of Texas and Zion Rose out of Louisville."

Both Robbins and Rose have nice physical tools and hit the ball well. Robbins has really turned it up this season, being more aggressive at the plate, while Rose turned heads after returning from an ankle injury at the start of the season.

Rose may be a better fit in the outfield than Robbins, who is a bit slower, but either player could be a great addition to Milwaukee's farm system.
