It's common for the top rookies to be shut down before the conclusion of NBA Summer League.
That's what the Washington Wizards have done with AJ Dybantsa, and what the Utah Jazz have done with Darryn Peterson.
The Chicago Bulls have had Caleb Wilson, the No. 4 overall pick out of North Carolina, continue to play.
In the grand scheme of things, it's probably a small decision. It did lead to some interesting quotes from Wilson, though.
He was asked about the idea of playing while the other top picks had been shut down for the summer.
“I feel like I’m different than all of them," Wilson said. "Not to say they don’t, but I enjoy basketball. I love this s---. I’m going to play as much as I can."

This answer is in part just Wilson being confident in himself.
By the same token, it does appear he's sending a subtle shot toward the other top picks. It's certainly an energy that Bulls fans will appreciate from their uber-talented rookie.
Wilson has already shown a game that's quite exciting. He's dunking all over people, and that athleticism and length comes in handy all over the floor.
The one-and-done from UNC has also emphasized that he believes he can be a better outside shooter than he was for the Tar Heels. If Wilson adds a perimeter shot to his game, he'll be that much more dangerous.
Right now, the most encouraging thing for Chicago is simply Wilson's mentality. He wants to play basketball and keep getting better, and because of that, he probably will indeed keep growing.
