Charlotte Hornets draft picks tracker 2026: Results, grades, updates, list of selections and trades

1 hour ago 3

The Charlotte Hornets have a promising core, and the 2026 NBA Draft is a chance to add to it.

In the second half of the 2025-26 season, they were one of the NBA's most dangerous teams, in large part thanks to a potent offense.

The Hornets will be hoping to play like that right from the outset in 2026-27 and beyond, and they can help that cause by nailing their picks in the draft.

This is viewed as a high-end draft class, and so the Hornets, like many other teams, have a chance to get better.

The action gets underway with the first round on Tuesday night.

Below, we'll be keeping track of anything the Hornets get up to.

Charlotte Hornets NBA Draft grades

These are how Sporting News grades each of the Hornets' draft picks:

  • Round 1, Pick 14: Hannes Steinbach - B
    • A fascinating talent and fit here. Charlotte could've gone a lot of different ways here, but getting size and skill at the end of the lottery isn't a bad outcome.
  • Round 1, Pick 18: Christian Anderson - B+
    • Anderson is a great shooter, and he'll form a great combo on the wing with Kon Knueppel. Neither Steinbach nor Anderson are household names, but they both can be solid NBA contributors.

When is the NBA Draft?

The NBA Draft begins with the first round on Tuesday, June 23.

The second round will be on Wednesday, June 24.
