Now that her time with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is over, Reece Weaver is moving on to her next big chapter. That journey is starting back in the state of Alabama, where she and her husband reportedly just bought a $750,000 home.
She announced her retirement at the end of Season 2 of Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, deciding to hang up her pom-poms after three years on the team. Before making it official, she told Sports Illustrated that she treated the final home game of the 2024-25 season as if it were her last, even though she was still trying to make up her mind at the time.
Her departure wraps up a massive three-year run that made her the breakout star of the Netflix show. Before making it big in Dallas, she danced for the University of Alabama, where she also met her husband, Will Allman.
During the first season of the docuseries, she quickly became an absolute fan favorite. Right from the start of training camp, her incredibly sharp technique blew away DCC director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell, earning her a coveted spot on the famous squad.
Weeks before the public found out about her retirement, Reece and Will were already quietly planning to buy their $750,000 house. Property records show the new Tuscaloosa house sits on a half-acre lot, right near her old college stomping grounds.
She later posted a photo of them jumping in front of the house on Instagram with the caption "Home SWEET home," which drew lots of supportive comments from her former teammates.
Since leaving the squad, Reece's audience has grown to 1.3 million followers on Instagram. Such an explosive following turned her content creation into a full-time job, bringing in enough brand sponsorships that Will was able to leave his commercial landscaping job in Dallas.
She has also kept up a busy public schedule. She made appearances on the “Today” show and “The Tonight Show,” and also worked as a guest announcer at the “Grand Ole Opry.” During an interview on the “Human School” podcast, she explained that they both felt a strong pull to return to Tuscaloosa, adding that she is currently writing a book about her experiences.
