Jets prediction should lead to blockbuster deal to help Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs

Heading into next season, the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets are two of the more interesting teams to watch for several reasons.

The Chiefs, hopeful that Patrick Mahomes will be fine after a tough injury, figure to be one of the better teams in the NFL once again.

The Jets, however, have a big question to answer about whether they can actually be as good as they want to be. For that reason and more, many seem to believe that it's possible that multiple players in New York could be traded, including Garrett Wilson.

Bleacher Report recently predicted that Wilson would be the next star to get dealt, and that should be of interest to Kansas City.

“However, the Jets are likely to struggle again this year, and it would not be a huge surprise if Wilson decides he is not interested in waiting to see whether they can finally identify a long-term answer at quarterback in 2027, given the franchise's uneven history at the position,” Gary Davenport of BR wrote.

The Chiefs have shown us over the past few years that they don't necessarily need a WR1 to be an elite team.

However, I don't think it's crazy to say that they should be going after a top-tier pass catcher like Wilson. At this stage of his career, he could be the perfect fit for what Kansas City is looking to do in the short and long term.
