LeBron James urged to make Spurs decision that wouldn’t make too much sense

1 hour ago 1

Arguably the greatest player of all time, LeBron James, decided that it was best to move on from the Los Angeles Lakers

The question for James now is who he wants to play with and whether he's looking for an opportunity to win, a chance to play with former friends, or a move to a city with great weather. Ultimately, James will have a slew of options, though some make more sense than others. If James wants to play with his friends, going to play with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors might be the plan.

If he wants great weather, going to Miami with the Heat could be the plan. If he wants to win, signing with a team like the San Antonio Spurs might not be the worst idea, which is exactly what his former Lakers teammate suggested he should do.

In fact, one of his Lakers teammates went as far as to say that if he goes to the Spurs, he'd win at least two more championships.

"I think he wins two more if he goes," Dwight Howard wrote on X, asking fans whether James should head to San Antonio.

I'm unsure whether any NBA team wouldn't want James on their roster, though I do think it's important to recognize that in situations like this, it takes two to make a deal happen.

While the Spurs just lost in the NBA Finals and could view James as a potential missing piece, I'm unsure if they want to mess up that young core by bringing in a 41-year-old.
