Cooper Flagg is already a rising NBA superstar.
If the Dallas Mavericks' phenom out of Duke grew a couple inches? He'd be even better.
That's the theory that's been going around the Internet for a while this summer.
Some folks on X were posting about it. There's a discussion thread on Reddit about it, too.
Internet sleuths noticed that Flagg liked a post on Instagram that said he grew two inches, from 6-foot-9 to 6-foot-11.
There have been no public comments on the matter, though, and no official listings anywhere that show Flagg at that taller height.
So at this point, it's all a bit of speculation.

Presumably at some point, either Flagg will be asked about it or the Mavs will release an official roster with a height listing.
In the meantime, commenters on that Reddit post are speculating that Flagg looks taller next to his teammate Dereck Lively II than he did last year.
It wouldn't be crazy if Flagg was still growing. He's just 19 and won't turn 20 years old until late December.
Most players don't change their height listing much, if at all, after entering the NBA. But the Spurs' Victor Wembanyama did, and it's certainly not unheard of.
Some players actually grow more and don't change their height. Kevin Garnett was almost certainly taller than he was listed at, for example.
The reality is that if Flagg stars on the court, it doesn't really matter what his basketball card says he is.
But if he's actually taller, opponents should look out. That makes Flagg that much scarier to deal with.
