"Pretty Little Liars" Premiered 15 Years Ago, So Here's What The Cast Looks Like Now (And What They've Been Up To)

1 year ago 80

It's been 15 years and I still hear the PLL intro song in my head on the daily.

If you weren't watching Pretty Little Liars in the 2010s, I'm not sure what you were doing — because everyone and their mother was obsessed with that show. You were either a Glee girl, a PLL girl, or BOTH. If you were both, congrats, you have elite taste. 🙋‍♀️

Anyway, I recently found out that PLL premiered on June 8, 2010, which was FIFTEEN years ago...and it sent me into a full-on spiral I was not ready for. So I decided to put together some "then vs. now" comparisons of the main cast, as well as a lil' update on what they're doing now...

1. Lucy Hale played Aria Montgomery in Pretty Little Liars. She was 20 when the show premiered, and she's now 35.

Lucy has been killing it in the acting scene post-PLL. You probably saw her in the romcom The Hating Game in 2021, but she was also in Truth or Dare in 2018, Puppy Love in 2023, and F*** Marry Kill in 2024, among others. Shortly after PLL, she starred in the TV shows Life Sentence in 2017, Katy Keene in 2020, and Ragdoll in 2021, which each had one season.

2. Ashley Benson played Hanna Marin in Pretty Little Liars. She was 20 when the show first aired, and she's 35 now.

Ashley has continued acting since the show ended, and she's been in a few projects here and there. Notably, she was in Her Smell alongside Elizabeth Moss and Cara Delevigne in 2018, Private Property in 2022, and most recently, she starred in the first season of Wilderness in 2023. Ashley also has one child with her husband Brandon Davis.

3. Shay Mitchell played Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars. She was 23 when the show first aired, and she's now 38.

While she's definitely still in the acting scene, Shay is also an entrepreneur now — she founded travel fashion company Béis in 2018, co-founded Onda Tequila in 2020, and founded production company Amore & Vita Productions in 2017. On top of that, you saw her as Peach in the first season of You (2018) and both seasons of Dollface (2019–2022), among others. She now hosts Thirst With Shay Mitchell, a travel and drink tasting show (totally on brand for her). And finally, she's got two kids with her boyfriend Matte Babel.

4. Troian Bellisario played Spencer Hastings in Pretty Little Liars. She was 24 when the show first premiered, and she's 38 now.

You may know that Troian married Suits star Patrick J. Adams in 2016, when PLL was still on; they now have two kids. They were both in the two-season show Plan B in 2023, which is nothing short of adorable. Otherwise, Troian has starred in Feed (2017), Clara (2018), and Where'd You Go, Bernadette (2019). Finally, Troian was in the first and only season of On Call, which came out in 2025.

5. Sasha Pieterse played Alison DiLaurentis in Pretty Little Liars. She was 14 when the show first aired, and she's now 29.

Shortly after PLL, Sasha returned to her role as Alison in the one-season spinoff show Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which came out in 2019. Since then, she's been in a couple projects, like The Image of You and A Carpenter Christmas Romance, both in 2024. She has one son with her husband Hudson Sheaffer.

6. Ian Harding played Ezra Fitz in Pretty Little Liars. He was 23 when PLL first aired, and he's now 38.

Although many of us (me) can't think of anyone else besides Mr. Fitz when they see Ian, some might argue he's now best known for starring opposite Lindsay Lohan in the 2024 Netflix romcom Our Little Secret. He's been in a ton of other huge films and shows over the past few years, including Chicago Med in 2019, Ford v. Ferrari in 2019, and The Magic of Lemon Drops in 2024. Ian published a memoir called Odd Birds in 2017, and he also has a child with his girlfriend Sophie Hart.

7. Janel Parrish played Mona Vanderwaal in Pretty Little Liars. She was 21 when the show first aired, and she's now 36.

Janel played Margot in all three To All The Boys I've Loved Before films (2018–2020), which have quickly become a fan-favourite teen movie series. But she also reprised her role as Mona on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists in 2019, and starred in movies like Sugarplummed (2024) and Return to Office (2025). She competed in both Dancing With The Stars and The Masked Singer, too, coming in third place in both.

8. Tyler Blackburn played Caleb Rivers in Pretty Little Liars. He was 23 when the show premiered, and he's now 38.

Like most of his PLL castmates, Tyler has continued in the acting scene. He's known for starring in the TV show Roswell, New Mexico (2019–2022), along with Capsized: Blood in the Water (2019). Plus, he's a musician, too! He was featured on a song called "Can't Love Me" with singer Novi in 2019, and he also sings "Would You Come Home (From Roswell, New Mexico: Season 2."

9. Keegan Allen played Toby Cavanaugh in Pretty Little Liars. He was 20 when PLL premiered, and he's now 35.

In addition to being an actor, Keegan is a photographer, having published two photography books in 2015 and 2018, and he boasts a pretty awesome Instagram full of cool shots. He's continued with acting, too, having starred in A Moving Romance in 2017, Walker from 2021–2024, and even an episode of Rick & Morty in 2019.

10. Tammin Sursok played Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars. She was 26 when the show premiered, and she's now 41.

Tammin has continued acting here and there since PLL, with notable credits including Braking for Whales (2019) and Trivia at St. Nick's (2024). But perhaps most exciting is the fact that she hosted a PLL podcast called Pretty Little Liars: True Crime with Lindsey Shaw, who played Paige! Tammin has two daughters with her husband Sean McEwen.

11. Lindsey Shaw played Paige McCullers in Pretty Little Liars. She was 21 when the show first aired, and she's now 36.

Along with hosting the Pretty Little Liars: True Crime podcast with Tammin, Lindsey has stepped back from acting a bit (although she was in a 2020 comedy movie called Reboot Camp). She's now a certified yoga instructor and an acting coach specific to young people in the industry.
