Red Sox avoid arbitration, settle with two starters on one-year deals

MLB teams and their arbitration-eligible players had until 1:00 p.m. ET on Thursday to settle on deals and avoid an arbitration hearing, and the Boston Red Sox have done that with a pair of their starters.

According to MassLive's Chris Cotillo, Boston has settled with Tanner Houck for $3.95 million and Garrett Crochet for $3.8 million.
