The best tennis players in the world are headed to Washington D.C. this week for the annual Mubadala Citi DC Open, a combined ATP-WTA 500 event.

32 singles players and 16 doubles teams on both the men's and women's sides will be competing for 500 tour points at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center this week. Founded in 1969, this tournament is the fourth-longest running professional event in the nation.

There will be plenty of talent in Rock Creek Park this year, including Jessica Pegula, Naomi Osaka and Elina Svitolina on the women's side, and Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz and defending tournament champion Alex de Minaur on the men's.
